Forget about cold feet, try not to lose your head!
Your wedding guests can take a stroll through Headless Horseman territory along the Old Croton Aqueduct Trailway in Westchester, New York and see the actual locations in Washington Irving’s famous story.
Once they are in the right frame of mind, invite them to the Lyndhurst Mansion in nearby Tarrytown, NY for the reception and make them spend the night in a local hotel for a good night’s sleep!

Edgar Allen Poe’s Grave
Because it’s “Til Death Do You Part”!
Westminster Hall is a converted Gothic church built above catacombs where Edgar Allen Poe and his young wife rest (hopefully) in peace. It is available for weddings, receptions and other events.

Winchester Mystery House
I couldn’t find any information about renting this place out, but it definitely has to be one of the creepiest houses. Located in San Jose, California, the Winchester Mystery House has 160 rooms, booby traps, and stairs that lead to nowhere and it’s for real – not an attraction at an amusement park! They give extra spooky flashlight tours every Halloween and Friday the 13th and perhaps they’d be willing to add on a scream of a wedding just for you.
Kirkja
The name for this cave in Iceland means ‘cathedral’ but it is perfect for an unholy matrimony as well. The cave is created by lava and the opening looks like the entrance to a church. Folklore says the cave was once a church for elves.
