Getting Married? Need Engagement Advice? Listen up.
Here are some gift ideas for a newly married couple on your Christmas list:
Supply your favorite newlyweds with everything they will need for a fantastic New Year’s celebration:
A bottle of the bubbly always comes in handy!
Buy some flashy party supplies – just two of everything so that the Mr. and Mrs. feel special.
A can of smoked oysters, fancy olives, chocolates, or cheese and crackers is always nice. Go to a specialty store and buy something really different.
Make a funny gift basket with items that will help the new couple through their first year of marriage. The basket could include:
Just in case she discovers that he snores, chews loudly, talks through movies…
Because married couples need to go on dates too (with each other only, of course!)
Pre-purchase a Valentine’s Day card, Birthday card, Mother’s Day (if applicable) card, and Anniversary card and put them in a sealed envelope for his eyes only (include the correct dates for each occasion).
You could also include a presto log if they have a fireplace, and a comfy throw blanket, for a cozy evening at home.
You could visit an adult novelty store to pick up a fun game, lotion, or toy to ‘spice things up’ (only if appropriate). If you want to keep things classy, go to a regular store and buy some nice massage oil or a massage bar, like the chocolate and peppermint one pictured below from Lush (just make sure they don’t eat it!).
If the wedding is really recent you might offer to help them address the thank you cards!
Here are some other fun ideas for a first Christmas. These would also be great gifts for a Christmas Wedding!
Your local costume store should be able to help you out. If not, try the adult novelty store!
Buy plain stocking and personalize them. Often there are kiosks that provide this service at shopping malls during the holiday season as well.
Or buy them a personalized stocking holder with lots of room for pets or future family…
